Privacy Policy

KnutriX ("we", "us", or "our") is a personal nutrition and fitness tracking app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and your rights around that data.

What data we collect

When you use KnutriX, we collect and store the following:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in via Google, Microsoft, or Apple, or when you register with an email and password.
• Meal descriptions — the text you enter or speak when logging meals, including food names, quantities, and meal types.
• Food photos — images you upload for meal analysis. These are processed to identify nutritional content.
• Nutrition history — calculated nutrition data for each meal (calories, macros, fiber, saturated fat, diet score) and daily summaries over time.
• Body weight logs — weight values and dates you manually enter.
• Workout logs — workout descriptions you enter or speak, along with estimated duration and calories burned.
• Diet targets and preferences — your calorie, macro, and unit-of-measure settings.

How your data is stored

All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway, a cloud infrastructure provider. Your data is associated with your account only — other users cannot access it.

Authentication is handled via Google OAuth 2.0, Microsoft OAuth 2.0, and Apple Sign In. We store only the user identifier and basic profile information returned by those providers — we do not receive or store your social account passwords.

How your data is used

Your data is used solely to provide the KnutriX service to you — specifically, to analyse meals, track nutrition trends, and display your progress. Meal descriptions and food photos are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for nutritional analysis; no other third-party services receive your personal data.

We do not sell your data

Your personal data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through two methods:

• In the app — open Settings (tap your name in the top-right corner), scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, meals, nutrition history, body weight logs, workout logs, and all other personal data.
• By email — send a deletion request to privacy@knutrix.com. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is removed immediately. We do not keep backups of deleted accounts beyond standard database infrastructure retention windows (typically 7 days).

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of KnutriX after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
